Geospatial Media along with the support of ICIMOD has created an invaluable platform for SAARC geospatial communities to discuss on issues, challenges and opportunities in the application of Geospatial technologies for the benefit of society. Spatially enabled, Informed and evidence-based decisions are fundamentals to address sustainable social, economic, and environmental development challenges in local, national, regional and global level. Geospatial technology has been emerging as a foundation for all kinds of information systems since a few decades. Rapid growth in new forms of data collection techniques in conjunction with commercial transactions, internet searches, social networking, technological advances in the capacity to access and link existing data sets, has created a complex situation to ensure an ethical and reliable usage of geospatial data. For addressing this complexity and to create an enabling environment for trustworthy data sharing, an international and multidisciplinary collaboration of scientific groups, data producers, and users with common geospatial data infrastructures has become immensely essential. So, we need to seek the collaboration in the areas of

Data capturing and establishment of Geospatial Information Systems
Establishment of common Reference Frames and Datum
Establishment and expansion of globally compatible local, national, and regional Spatial Data Infrastructures
Infrastructures and Capacity Development
